Pink and Purple Scrap Clay

I have watched way too many YouTube videos but for a very good reason, to learn. One of the things I have learned and heard over and over again from many tutorials is “keep all your scrap clay”. You can make new colours or make natasha beads as one of Turtlesoup tutorials.

Here I took leftover pink and brown clay and made some beads. I made round ones and flat ones. I used a small round cutter so all the beads are from the same amount of clay and rolled into the same size.

Below, you will notice that I did not roll all the cutouts. I left some flat.

Next I put the rolled ones on skewers and on a little baking rack.

Before baking I took 2 flat ones and put them together and add some eye screws to them so they bake in the flat bead. I then bake at 275 for 30 minutes.

Here you see the flat ones after they came out of the oven along with some round ones. I started gluing in the eye pins to the round beads. This will help me link everything together.

The last 2 pictures are some beads made the same way but with some purple scrap clay. I forgot to take picutes of the pink one but I did remember to take these two.
