Gus, in the beginning.
This is my partner in crime. His name is Gus. I sometimes call him Guster. He was adopted from an animal shelter when he was a kitten by my son’s girlfriend at the time, back in 2009. My son has always had and loved cats and I guess she wanted to be like him.
She brought this little kitten to her apartment and tried to get him to settle in. I guess, little did she know that he was boisterous and loved to talk as well as cry, a lot!!

The Move
Because his cries were loud, my son’s girlfriend received complaints and she had to either relocate the cat or relocate herself. She decided to bring her kitten to my son’s place. My son had his cat, Milo at the time. Milo is a different story. Such a beautiful cat. Anyways, back to Gus.
My son lived in the north end of the city. A very tough end not only for people but also for the animals that lived or roamed the street. My son’s cat, Milo was very well known by the street cats. Milo was mellow and very friendly to people and other four-legged animals (other than mice).
Milo took it upon himself to teach Gus what life is all about. Hunting, sunbathing, getting pets, and what treats are yummy. Gus’s personality started coming to life. He was still very shy and timid but not like before. Thanks to Milo, Gus was starting to relax and not meow so much.
Life was starting to feel good for Gus.
